Real Madrid have stepped up efforts to secure Vinicius Jr.’s future as contract talks enter a decisive phase. The Brazilian winger has entered the final two years of his current deal, and both parties have spent several months discussing an extension.
Club officials now want to reach an agreement quickly, as they prefer to avoid entering the new season with uncertainty surrounding one of their biggest stars.
Arsenal have attempted to lure Vinicius Jr. to the Premier League with an attractive financial proposal, but the Brazilian has shown no desire to leave the Santiago Bernabรฉu. The London club’s interest has encouraged Real Madrid to accelerate negotiations with the player’s representatives and finalize a new contract.
According to Sky Sports, Real Madrid will hold fresh talks with Vinicius Jr.’s camp this week in an effort to complete the extension. The report adds that the Brazilian winger is expected to remain at the club beyond the current summer transfer window despite growing speculation over his future.
