Real Sociedad have stepped up their interest in Nayef Aguerd as Marseille look to reduce their wage bill and raise funds through player sales. The Moroccan defender has attracted several suitors since the start of the transfer window, including Al-Sadd and former club Rennes. Marseille signed Aguerd for €23 million last summer, but the club could now consider his departure as part of its financial strategy.
