Sadio Mané and Al-Nassr thought they had one hand on the Saudi Pro League title before a dramatic late twist changed everything against Al Hilal. In a tense clash between the two Riyadh giants, Al-Nassr led for most of the match after Mohamed Simakan opened the scoring in the 37th minute following a pass from Kingsley Coman. The result would have allowed Jorge Jesus’s side to take a huge step toward the league crown.
But Al Hilal refused to give up and pushed hard during the second half. Their pressure finally paid off in stoppage time when goalkeeper Bento accidentally turned the ball into his own net in the 98th minute.
The heartbreaking equalizer leaves the title race completely open heading into the final round of the season, while Sadio Mané and Al-Nassr now face enormous pressure after letting victory slip away at the very last second.
