Sierra Leone FA Referees Department Conducts One-Day Training Ahead of New League Season

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Referees Department has conducted a one-day training programme for referees ahead of the commencement of the new football league season.

The training brought together referees as part of the department’s efforts to ensure match officials are fully prepared, physically fit, and up to date with the latest developments in the Laws of the Game.

The programme featured physical fitness and fitness tests, alongside classroom sessions focused on refereeing techniques, match management and the implementation of the latest amendments to the Laws of the Game.

The sessions were facilitated by Sanusie Rashid, SLFA Referees Manager, and Daudu Williams, Vice Chairman of the SLFA Referees Committee, who provided guidance and technical insight to the participating match officials.

The training forms part of the SLFA Referees Department’s preparations to ensure referees enter the new league season with the required level of fitness, knowledge, confidence and consistency.

With the new season set to kick off soon, the department remains committed to strengthening the capacity of match officials and maintaining high refereeing standards across Sierra Leone’s football competitions.
