Sierra Leoneโs National U-17 Male Team, the ๐๐ข๐๐ซ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฌ, have departed the country for Senegal via Guinea ahead of the ๐๐๐ ๐-๐ ๐-๐๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐จ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฒ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ, scheduled to take place in Dakar from ๐โ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐.
The delegation comprises ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ, including 20 players, eight technical staff and four officials, who will represent Sierra Leone in the regional competition.
Drawn in ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ ๐, the Sierra Stars will begin their campaign on ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ฒ, ๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ, against The Gambia at ๐:๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ฆ. They will then face hosts Senegal on ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ญ ๐:๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ฆ, before concluding their group-stage campaign against Mauritania on ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐ญ ๐:๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ฆ.
The team carries the hopes and aspirations of football-loving Sierra Leoneans as they seek to make a strong impression in the competition and secure progression to the next stage of the U-17 AFCON qualification pathway.
