SPL: Orlando Pirates Eye Peter Shalulile as Transfer Talks Begin

Orlando Pirates have emerged as strong contenders to sign prolific Namibian striker Peter Shalulile following his expected departure from Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Buccaneers have already initiated contact as they explore the possibility of bringing one of the Premier Soccer League’s most consistent goalscorers to Soweto.

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is understood to be a keen admirer of Shalulile and is believed to be driving the club’s interest in securing the experienced forward’s signature ahead of the new season.

Behind the scenes, Pirates are also receiving support in their pursuit through Shalulile’s Namibia teammate, Deon Hotto, who has reportedly been speaking to the striker about the prospect of joining the Soweto giants.

Although negotiations remain in the early stages and no agreement has yet been reached, Orlando Pirates are clearly positioning themselves in the race for Shalulile, with the club eager to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Should the move materialise, it would represent one of the biggest transfers in South African football, with Shalulile’s proven goalscoring pedigree expected to add significant firepower to the Pirates’ frontline.
