Strasbourg: A breath of fresh air named Tyrese Noubissie

Strasbourg: A breath of fresh air named Tyrese Noubissie

On Sunday afternoon, the pitch at Stade de la Meinau was the scene of a small piece of history during the home match against Stade Rennais.

When he entered the game in the 83rd minute, Tyrese Noubissie became, at 16 years and 341 days old, the youngest player to wear the RC Strasbourg jersey in the top flight.

This baptism by fire marks a turning point for the young Cameroonian midfielder, who, in doing so, has rewritten the club’s history books.

In fact, one must go back to 1978 to find a precedent for such precocity in the Alsatian jersey, with Jacques Glassmann’s debut at just 16 years and 126 days.

This meteoric rise confirms Strasbourg’s commitment to giving its young talents a chance.
