The Super Eagles of Nigeria have concluded their final pre-match walk and light training session at The Valley, Charlton Athletic Stadium, as they step up preparations for Tuesday’s high-stakes 2026 Unity Cup semi-final against the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
The session, which took place on Monday evening in London, saw Head Coach Éric Chelle lead a focused but relaxed outing as the squad fine-tuned their mental and physical readiness ahead of kickoff.

The “walk-through” session was deliberately low intensity, designed to loosen the players and allow them to mentally rehearse tactical instructions rather than engage in heavy drills.
Players were seen jogging lightly, stretching, and participating in short passing routines as the technical crew monitored positioning and movement patterns.
The Super Eagles are aiming to maintain sharpness while avoiding fatigue ahead of what is expected to be a physically demanding encounter against Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe, nicknamed the Warriors, are expected to provide a disciplined and physical challenge, especially given recent competitive meetings between both sides that ended in draws during World Cup qualifying.
While Nigeria enters the fixture as defending Unity Cup champions, the coaching staff has warned against complacency, stressing the importance of intensity and concentration from the first whistle.
