Dilane Bakwa, who has struggled since arriving in England, will try to get his career back on track in Ligue 1.
The Nottingham Forest player is expected to join Lille, which has reached an agreement for a one-season loan.
The 23-year-old winger, originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), left Strasbourg for approximately 35 million euros in the summer of 2025.
But his time with Forest did not go as hoped, with limited playing time and only two assists in league play.
Also pursued by Hull City, Ipswich, and Fiorentina, Bakwa ultimately opted to return to France and join Lille.
In particular, he’ll have the opportunity to return to the Champions League and regain his confidence in a league he knows well.
