URA FC close season with first away win

Buhimba United Saints 0-3 URA

URA signed off their 2025/26 StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign with their first away victory of the season after defeating relegated Buhimba United Saints 3-0 at Royals Park Arena on Friday.

The Tax Collectors, who endured a difficult campaign, produced an assured display away from home to finish the season on a positive note.

Godfrey Ssekibengo handed URA the lead in the 19th minute after being set up by Ibrahim Wamannah before Joseph Ssemujju doubled the advantage seven minutes later, heading home from a Moses Waiswa corner.

URA controlled proceedings for large spells against a Buhimba side already condemned to relegation, with the visitors managing the game comfortably after taking early control.

Ssemujju, later named man of the match, completed his brace deep into stoppage time when he finished off another move created by Wamannah to seal a convincing victory for the visitors.

The game also produced four bookings, with Buhimba’s Eric Nyonyintono and Solomon Akodi cautioned late on, while URA pair Joshua Letti Lubwama and George Masembe also went into the referee’s book.

The result sees URA finish the season in 11th place on 31 points, while Buhimba United Saints end bottom with 12 points.
