Victory for Mehdi Nafti at CAS in Tunisia Case

The Tunisian Football Federation has been ordered by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to pay 142,000 dinars to former assistant coach Mehdi Nafti.

This ruling follows the failure to pay the full severance package stipulated in his contract upon his departure in July 2024, a period marked by significant administrative instability within the federation.

Although the sports court ruled in favor of the Tunisian coach on the grounds of breach of contractual obligations, the financial penalty turned out to be much lighter than expected.

The final amount awarded by the CAS is significantly lower than Mehdi Nafti’s initial demands, thereby limiting the economic impact on a federation already in the midst of a transition.
