Kurt Okraku has projected unshakable confidence ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, insisting that Ghana national football team will enter the tournament as equals, not underdogs.
Okraku emphasized the progress made under Otto Addo and his technical team, highlighting a newfound belief in Ghana’s capacity to challenge any opponent on the global stage. “We will not go into this tournament as underdogs. We fear no foe. And believe me, when this team lines up against Panama, England, and Croatia, Ghana football will speak,” he said.
Okraku reflected on the nation’s evolving footballing mentality, noting that fixtures which once inspired apprehension now evoke confidence.
“A few years ago, if you heard a fixture like Ghana versus Germany, you would be afraid. But today, we are very confident. The intangible assets that have been put together by Coach Addo and his team will make Ghana proud,” he added.
With the World Cup approaching, the Ghana FA president’s statements signal a team poised to assert itself, blending preparation, strategic leadership, and national pride in pursuit of a memorable campaign.
