Vipers SC have swooped on in the services of roving left-back Richard Matovu, who previously plied his trade with Arua Hill SC.
The 24-year-old has joined the Venoms for an undisclosed fee and has agreed on a contract at St Mary’s Stadium until 2025. A statement on the club’s official website confirmed: “The fast-rising Matovu saw out his contract with Arua Hills at the end of last season,” adding: “Kitende will now be home for Matovu for the next two years as per his employment contract that runs until 2025.”
Speaking on being unveiled, Matovu said: “I am very excited and can’t wait to work with the group,” adding: “Things didn’t pan out as I would have loved and when Vipers came calling, it was a no-brainer for me to move. I am happy the deal got done. I am buzzing to be here and can’t wait to get going. It is a beautiful challenge that I am delighted to be a part of. I hope I can steer the club to more glory.”
