Europe Euro 2024 : CAF mocks UEFA with AFCON stadium after waterfalls hit Dortmund stadium ahead of Turkey vs Georgia clash

Confederation of African Football (CAF) aimed dig at UEFA using a stadium from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations while Dortmund stadium was hit by heavy rain and waterfalls ahead of Turkey vs Georgia clash at the Euro 2024.

The fans had to leave some areas of the BVB station which roof has been severely hit by downpours as a rain erupted an hour prior to the game.

Footage of leaks from the top of the Signal Iduna Park quickly stormed the internet and the “cooking” started with fans comparing the tournament to the last Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.

One of CAF social media admins humped into the opportunity to add fuel to the ongoing criticism by posting pictures of one of the 2023 AFCON stadiums with the following capture : “Hosting big tournament the correct way”.

Fans understood the dig and started laughing in comment section with some even advancing that the hype on AFCON 2023 is far better than what is ongoing with the European championship.
