Dstv Premiership Kaizer Chiefs line up third friendly against Qatar’s Al Shahaniya SC

With the team continuing with their pre-season camp and preparations in Turkiye, Amakhosi will play their third practice/friendly match against Qatar’s Al Shahaniya SC in Istanbul on Saturday, 20 July.

Al Shahaniya gained promotion to the Qatar Stars League (QSL) after they were crowned champions at the end of the previous season.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung, was among the esteemed speakers at the FIFA Club Professionalisation and Management Programme Africa edition, held from 15 to 18 July in Luanda, Angola.

The programme aims to promote the professionalisation of football worldwide, with 11 African federations participating in this edition: Algeria, Angola, Cameroon, Côte D’Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda.

“I’m honoured to be part of this initiative to share our experiences and best practices with other African clubs. It’s a great opportunity for knowledge transfer and growth,” said Motaung.

Angola hosted the on-site session for its Premier League clubs, and Motaung delivered a comprehensive presentation covering marketing and communication, sponsorship strategy, Club merchandise programmes, and social responsibility in football.

Her expertise and experience provided valuable insights for the seminar’s attendees, which included participants from Angolan clubs familiar to Kaizer Chiefs.

Motaung’s presentation showcased Kaizer Chiefs’ commitment to professionalising football and promoting the beautiful game across Africa. Her insights into the club’s marketing and communication strategy, sponsorship partnerships, merchandise programme, and football social responsibility initiatives demonstrated the club’s dedication to excellence and community engagement.

“We focus on creating a strong visual identity and consistent messaging across all platforms, including external stakeholders like the media,” Motaung explained. “Our digital presence and social media footprint are also crucial in reaching our supporters,” she added.
