Chelsea is pleased to announce the signing of United States international Caleb Wiley,” the club confirmed on their website.

The 19-year-old left-back has been with Atlanta’s first squad since 2022 and made his senior debut for the United States against Mexico in October.

Wiley is now in Paris, representing the United States at the Olympic Games.

When Wiley arrives at Stamford Bridge, new manager Enzo Maresca will examine him as a competitor for Chelsea’s senior left-backs Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell.

However, it has been suggested that Wiley could spend next season on loan at French club Strasbourg, which is part of the same Blueco ownership group as Chelsea.
