Zambia entered the game against Chad as favorites, brimming with confidence. From the first whistle, they imposed themselves on the game, dictating the tempo and pinning Chad deep into their own half. The Zambians played with flair and aggression, creating wave after wave of attacks that threatened to overwhelm their opponents.
But for all their possession and dominance, Zambia couldn’t find the back of the net. Chad’s defense, though under constant pressure, stood resolute, blocking shots and clearing dangerous crosses. Zambia’s forwards found themselves frustrated time and again as chance after chance went begging.
As the clock ticked down, Zambia pushed harder, but Chad held firm, and the final whistle blew with the scoreline still 0-0. Despite Zambia’s control of the game, they were forced to share the spoils, much to their disappointment.
Zambia’s draw means they will remain in second place in the group, just behind leaders Ivory Coast as they wait on the outcome of the game between Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone, scheduled for later in the evening.
