This indicates that the Flying Eagles have kept the WAFU Zone B championship that they took home in 2022.
Coach Aliyu Suberu’s team won the trophy thanks to a brace from Kparobo Arierhi.

After opening the scoring in the 33rd minute, Arierhi doubled the lead by scoring again.
Ghana equalised with a goal in the 74th minute, but the Flying Eagles prevailed.
The Flying Eagles defeated Cote d’Ivoire 2-1 to advance to the semi-finals after losing 1-0 to Burkina Faso in their first encounter.
The squad defeated Niger Republic in the semi-finals after trailing by one goal.
In the meantime, Ghana and the Flying Eagles have both earned spots in the 2025 U-20 AFCON competition.
