Former Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) president Wadie Jary has been sentenced to four years in prison for corruption, a Tunis court ruled on Thursday.
The case stems from a judicial complaint filed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports regarding the illegal nature of a contract signed between the federation and a technical director.
Jary, who had faced multiple accusations over the years—including match-fixing, financial irregularities, and money laundering—had consistently denied any wrongdoing. His sentencing marks a significant moment in Tunisia’s ongoing efforts to tackle corruption in football governance.
