Serie A Kean Discharged From Hospital After Collapsing On Pitch

After suffering a head injury and collapsing on the pitch during Fiorentina’s 1-0 Serie A loss to Hellas Verona, the Italian forward Moise Kean was released from the hospital, the team announced on Monday.

While vying for the ball on Sunday, Kean was struck in the head and fell after being struck in the face by Pawel Dawidowicz’s knee.

After receiving treatment, the 24-year-old was permitted to go back and resume playing.

Players from both sides alerted the team medics, who hurried onto the pitch after he abruptly lost his footing and fell on the turf.

After a successful surgery, Bove had a defibrillator fitted, which is a device that shocks the heart to re-establish a normal rhythm and prevents deadly cardiac arrest.

Before being taken to the hospital, the forward—who has 15 goals this season and is the second-leading scorer in Serie A—was spotted wearing a neck brace and being carried off on a stretcher.

“ACF Fiorentina can confirm that Moise Kean was discharged from hospital in Verona overnight and has returned to Florence.

Medical and diagnostic tests all produced negative results,” Fiorentina said in a statement.
