All sports Boxing boss ‘Jamal’ Ombok hosts ‘Hit Squad’ after being re-elected

After being re-elected as re-elected as the Boxing Federation of Kenya president, Anthony ‘Jamal’ Ombok, met with hosted The National Women Boxing Team ( Hit Squad) on Thursday.

“Earlier today, I hosted The National Women Boxing Team ( Hit Squad) at Chel’C Restaurant where we had our dinner,” said Jamal. “The hit squad is traveling tonight to Serbia for IBA world championship. I encouraged the team members to go to Serbia & represent our flag effectively and they promised me each boxer will give their best performance ever.”

Apart from the return of Ombok during the election, Lydia Kinyua, who was previously the assistant treasurer, was elected as First Vice President, while Chrispine Onyango took over as Second Vice President.

David Munuhe Karitu retained his position as Secretary General, with Joseph Ochieng Otieno, a former BFK member, stepping in as his assistant. Benjamin Moses Oyombi continuing as treasurer, assisted by newcomer Gladys Musavi. John Waweru Wangai remained the Competition Secretary, with Joselyn Mare as his assistant.

The elections were supervised by Sports Registrar Rose Wasike alongside Ministry of Sports officials Abel Manyara and James Akama.
