CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, has arrived in Cairo, Egypt ahead of the 14th CAF Extraordinary General Assembly.
He was welcomed by Hany Abo Rida, President of the Egyptian Football Association(@EFA) and CAF General Secretary, Véron Mosengo-Omba. The Extraordinary General Assembly will be held in Cairo on Wednesday, 12 March 2025.
Key African football leaders, including presidents of CAF’s 54 Member Associations and its six Zonal Unions, as well as senior international football stakeholders, will attend. Dr Patrice Motsepe, CAF President, will chair the meeting.
Prior to the Extraordinary General Assembly, several CAF engagements will take place:
10 March: CAF Zonal Unions meetings chaired by Dr Motsepe from 09h00 Cairo Time (07h00 GMT), followed by a friendly match featuring CAF officials and African football legends in the evening.
11 March: CAF Executive Committee (EXCO) meeting from 10h00 Cairo Time (08h00 GMT), discussing progress and the future of African football.
12 March: CAF Extraordinary General Assembly will then officially take place on Wednesday morning and will be concluded with an official press conference later in the afternoon by CAF President, Dr Motsepe.
