FIFA World Cup Chirewa Says Warriors Will Not Be Afraid Of Super Eagles

According to Zimbabwean winger Tawanda Chirewa, the Warriors shouldn’t be afraid of Nigeria ahead of their Matchday 6 of the FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifier.

On Tuesday, the Super Eagles will play Michael Nees’ team at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium Uyo.

Chirewa, who impressed during Thursday’s Warriors 2-2 draw with the Benin Republic’s Cheetahs, is confident they can win against the three-time African champions.

“I am just looking at recovery and going again on Tuesday against Nigeria, which is a very good team,” the 21-year-old was quoted by The Standard.

“A lot of players play in England and Europe. Obviously I want to go out there and show what I can do.

“Our team has got so many good players as well so we can’t fear Nigeria.”

After five games, the Warriors have yet to win in the qualifications.

With three points from five games, they are in last place in Group C.
