Following Ayo Abdulrahaman’s redeployment to Inter-Club Competitions at the NFF, Danlami Alanana was named the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Nigeria National League (NNL) by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Alanana brings a wealth of experience to his new position as the first Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL), as well as having held a number of other positions within the NFF, such as Secretary of the Referees Committee Unit, Players and Status Arbitration Committee, and Match Commissioners Appointment Committee.
Alanana was Head of the Inter-Clubs Department before being appointed COO. The handover ceremony was held on Thursday, March 27, 2025. Alanana’s experience includes working with Saliu Abubakar, Alhassan Yakmut, Charles Ojugbana, and the late Chief Oyuiki Obaseki to shape the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The NNL Friday resumed its second stanza, with other games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday throughout the nation.
The match between Kebbi United and Yobe Desert Stars was rescheduled because of the tragic car accident Yobe D. S. suffered.
