Ghana Kotoko Still Chasing the Double – Samuel Sarfo Duku Rallies Fans Amid Title Setback

Despite a recent dip that has seen Asante Kotoko slip six points behind the league leaders, club spokesperson Samuel Sarfo Duku has moved quickly to reassure fans that the dream of a domestic double is still very much alive.

“We will continue to do our utmost to win the double, as promised. As I speak to you now, we are still on pace, even though it has become a bit difficult, especially with the league title, considering the fact that we had been in the lead for weeks, but for us to lose the first spot today with a 6-point margin.”

The statement comes as a timely boost to Porcupine Warriors faithful, many of whom have grown anxious over the club’s stuttering form in recent weeks. Kotoko, once perched confidently atop the table, now find themselves chasing a resurgent leader with just a handful of games left.

Still, with the FA Cup campaign alive and well, and several key players regaining form, the belief within the Kotoko camp remains firm. Duku emphasized that the team is fully committed to honoring its pledge to the fans:

“We know what this means to our supporters. The hunger for trophies is real, and we feel that responsibility every single day. This is Kotoko – we fight till the end.”

With crucial matches looming, the road ahead won’t be easy, but if there’s one thing Kotoko has shown time and time again, it’s resilience in the face of adversity.
