2026 FIFA WORLD CUP: Netherlands and Morocco confirmed Starting XIs

The stage is set for a thrilling Round of 32 encounter at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup as the Netherlands and Morocco have announced their starting lineups for a highly anticipated knockout showdown.

The Dutch head into the contest in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Bart Verbruggen keeping his place in goal. Captain Virgil van Dijk marshals the back three alongside Jan Paul van Hecke and Nathan Aké, providing a blend of leadership, composure and defensive solidity.

Denzel Dumfries and Micky van de Ven are deployed as wing-backs, while Ryan Gravenberch and Frenkie de Jong anchor the midfield. Cody Gakpo and Crysencio Summerville will operate behind striker Brian Brobbey, who leads the attack as the Netherlands seek a place in the last 16.

Morocco, meanwhile, line up in a 4-2-3-1 system with Yassine Bono starting between the posts. The defensive quartet features Achraf Hakimi, Ismael Diop, Chadi Riad and Noussair Mazraoui.

Azzedine Bouaddi and Neil El Aynaoui form the midfield pivot, allowing Bilal El Khannouss, Azzedine Ounahi and Brahim Díaz the freedom to support striker Ismael Saibari, who leads the line for the Atlas Lions.

With both sides naming strong and attack-minded lineups, the knockout clash promises to be an entertaining battle as the Netherlands and Morocco fight for a coveted place in the next round of the FIFA World Cup.
