Arsenal Agree £55.7m Deal to Sell Gabriel Martinelli to Al Hilal

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a deal to sell Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli to Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal for a fixed fee of £55.7 million.

The agreement will see Martinelli bring an end to his time at the Emirates Stadium, subject to the successful completion of his medical and other transfer formalities.

The 25-year-old has been granted permission by Arsenal to undergo a medical with Al Hilal as the Saudi club moves closer to completing one of the biggest transfers of the window.

Martinelli has been an important member of Arsenal’s squad since joining the club, earning a reputation for his pace, direct running, energy and ability to make an impact in the final third.

His departure would represent a significant change to Arsenal’s attacking options.

For Al Hilal, the signing would further underline the Saudi Pro League club’s ambition to continue attracting some of the biggest talents in world football.

The Brazilian international is expected to add quality, experience and attacking threat to the team as they target major domestic and continental success.

The £55.7 million fixed fee also represents a substantial return for Arsenal, who could now look to reinvest the funds as they continue to strengthen their squad.

Martinelli’s move is now dependent on the completion of his medical, with an official announcement expected once all remaining paperwork and formalities have been concluded.

If completed, the transfer will mark another major move involving a Premier League star heading to the Saudi Pro League, while bringing the curtain down on Martinelli’s Arsenal career.
