Bruno Onyemaechi Scores and Assists as Olympiacos Thrash AEL Novibet 4-0

Nigeria international Bruno Onyemaechi produced an impressive individual performance as Olympiacos opened their Greek Cup campaign with a commanding 4-0 victory over AEL Novibet on Wednesday.

The Nigerian left-back was directly involved in two goals at the AEL FC Arena, scoring Olympiacos’ third goal and providing the assist for the fourth as the Greek giants cruised to victory in the opening match of the Greek Cup League Phase.

Olympiacos took the lead in the 34th minute through Armando González, who headed home from Kostas Fortounis’ cross.

Gustavo Sá doubled the advantage shortly after the restart, making it 2-0 in the 49th minute.

Onyemaechi then got on the scoresheet five minutes later. González headed the ball into the Nigerian’s path, and Onyemaechi controlled it with his left foot before firing a superb finish into the net to make it 3-0.

The Nigerian defender was not finished. In the 66th minute, Onyemaechi provided the assist for Joel Roca, who found the net to complete the scoring and seal a comprehensive 4-0 victory for Olympiacos.

The result gives Olympiacos an emphatic start to their Greek Cup League Phase campaign, while Onyemaechi’s goal-and-assist performance further highlights his attacking contribution from the left side.
