Ghanaian forward Kelvin Yeboah continued his impressive scoring form in Major League Soccer, but his latest goal was not enough to prevent Minnesota United from suffering a 2 1 home defeat to FC Dallas.
Yeboah found the back of the net for his 12th MLS goal of the season, adding another milestone to an impressive campaign in front of goal. His effort gave Minnesota an attacking boost, but Dallas ultimately had the final say.
The visitors secured all three points through a late winner from Santiago Moreno, whose decisive strike completed a dramatic turnaround and moved FC Dallas above Minnesota in the standings.
The defeat proved costly for Minnesota United, who dropped out of the MLS playoff places after 24 games. Despite Yeboah’s continued goal scoring form, the Loons now face increased pressure to regain their momentum as the race for the postseason intensifies.
