Ademola Lookman has praised the influence of Diego Simeone after Atlético Madrid secured a 2-1 victory over Real Madrid in the Madrid derby.
The Nigeria international highlighted the demanding standards set by Simeone and revealed how the Atlético boss has encouraged him to continually push himself both individually and for the team.
“Working under Diego Simeone has been great, very positive. I’m always trying to demand more of myself as an individual, but there’s also the responsibility he puts on me,” Lookman said.
The forward added that he remains determined to repay the faith shown in him by the Argentine coach through hard work and consistent performances.
“As a player, you want to keep working hard and giving that back to him,” he added.
