Former Black Stars defender John Paintsil has moved to the national U20 team, the Black Satellites, where he will serve as Assistant Coach.
Paintsil makes the switch from the senior national team, where he was part of the Black Stars technical staff, as he continues to develop his coaching career within Ghana’s national team setup.
The former Fulham, Leicester City and West Ham United full-back will work with the Black Satellites technical team as they begin preparations for next year’s U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
His move is part of the Ghana Football Association’s ongoing technical restructuring aimed at ensuring greater focus and efficiency across the various national teams.
The GFA is confident that Paintsil’s extensive experience at international and club level, coupled with his leadership qualities, will contribute significantly to the development of the Black Satellites and their preparations for the continental competition.
