The Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League imposed a harsh penalty on Constantine Youth captain Ibrahim Deb, suspending him for eight matches.
Ibrahim Deb was suspended following his ejection during his team’s match against host ES Sétif, which took place on September 19 as part of the second round of the Professional League championship.
The National League confirmed on its website that when the player appeared before the committee, he admitted to the charges against him before pleading for leniency.
The National League noted that Ibrahim Deb was sent off for attempting to assault the referee, followed by verbal abuse, in addition to his refusal to comply with the decision to send him off.
The Disciplinary Committee decided to fine the “Al-Siyasi” captain 50 million centimes, with the penalty taking effect as of the date of his provisional suspension on September 21, 2026.
