Former Asante Kotoko head coach Eric Tinkler has officially begun work as the new head coach of South African club Durban City following his departure from the Ghanaian giants.
Tinkler resigned from his position at Kotoko after the club’s disappointing defeat to Aduana FC in the Ghana Premier League, bringing his spell with the Porcupine Warriors to an end.
The South African coach has now returned home and reported to Durban City’s training ground, where he is expected to take charge of his first training session.
His immediate task will be to familiarise himself with the squad and begin preparations for the challenges ahead as Durban City look to improve their fortunes under their new head coach.
Tinkler brings considerable experience from both South African and international football, and his appointment marks a swift return to management after his brief spell in Ghana.
The former midfielder will now turn his attention to building his team and implementing his tactical approach as he begins his new chapter with Durban City.
