Aduana FC General Manager Takyi Arhin has defended Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku, highlighting the financial support and development initiatives provided to clubs under his administration.
Arhin says football clubs and administrators have strong reasons to appreciate Okraku, particularly following the GHS 1 million support package given to clubs to aid their development. According to him, such financial assistance has provided significant relief to clubs and demonstrated the GFA’s commitment to strengthening domestic football.
“Football clubs and administrators are so much in love with Kurt Okraku because of the things he has done for us. Who would have thought we would wake up one morning and be given GHS 1 million to develop our clubs?” Arhin said.
The Aduana FC official also believes Okraku’s tenure should not be judged solely by the performances of the Black Stars. He argued that the GFA president’s contribution to Ghanaian football extends beyond the senior national team and includes support for clubs and other areas of the domestic game.
“I don’t see why people should use the Black Stars as a yardstick to measure Kurt Okraku,” Arhin added, stressing the need for a broader assessment of the GFA president’s work across Ghana football.
