Bryan Mbeumo produced a moment of individual brilliance to put Manchester United ahead against Tottenham Hotspur, but Dominic Solanke’s late equaliser denied the Red Devils victory in a fiercely contested encounter.
After more than 70 minutes of probing against Tottenham’s resilient defence, Mbeumo broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute. The forward controlled a precise pass from Matheus Cunha inside the penalty area, created space with a clever turn and calmly slotted the ball into the far bottom corner to give United the lead.
The goal sparked an intense spell of action, with tensions rising as several players received yellow cards. Tottenham midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off in the 78th minute for violent conduct, leaving his side to navigate the closing stages with ten men.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, Tottenham refused to surrender and found a dramatic equaliser through Solanke in the 90th minute plus two, following an assist from Sandro Tonali. The late goal ensured the points were shared, leaving Mbeumo’s clinical finish as the standout moment in an encounter marked by attacking quality, disciplinary flashpoints and late drama.
