Brentford Reach Verbal Agreement to Sign El Hadji Malick Diouf for Up to £40m

Brentford have reached a verbal agreement with West Ham United to sign Senegalese defender El Hadji Malick Diouf in a deal that could be worth up to £40 million.

The proposed package is understood to include £35 million in guaranteed payments, with a further £5 million available in potential add ons based on performance related conditions.

Diouf is reportedly keen on the move as he looks to remain in the Premier League following West Ham’s relegation to the Championship.

The Senegal international has attracted significant interest with his performances and versatility, making him an appealing addition to Brentford’s squad as the club continues to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.

For Diouf, the proposed transfer would provide an immediate route back to the Premier League and the opportunity to continue his development at the highest level of English football.

With a verbal agreement now in place between the clubs, the transfer is expected to move closer to completion once the remaining details are finalised.
