Olympique de Marseille dominated Angers with a convincing 5-2 victory in Ligue 1 on Sunday, extending their strong run of form with an impressive attacking display.
Amine Gouiri believes this performance is a continuation of the hard work they’ve put in since the start of the season.
Speaking to Ligue 1+, the 26-year-old forward praised his team’s efficiency, noting their ability to score five times despite conceding a goal before halftime.
“We scored five goals and could have scored more that’s the positive takeaway,” he emphasized.
Beyond the score, Gouiri is particularly impressed by the team’s collective progress and the way OM continues to develop its style of play.
This away victory marks the Marseille club’s second consecutive league win.
With five goals in seven Ligue 1 appearances this season, the forward is also contributing to his team’s offensive momentum. But he prefers to focus on the collective result: “In the end, we’ll take the win and the three points.”
