Yves Bissouma shared some great photos after the Ajax–Atalanta match, capturing two lovely one-on-one moments with his teammates as the Malian midfielder waited for them after the game.
Here, he greets Abdellah Ouazane, also known as Lamine Yamal.
Bissouma, who is not eligible to play in the Champions League, waits for his Ajax teammates backstage at the Johan Cruijff ArenA after the 2-0 victory over Atalanta.
As substitute and goal-scorer Ouazane comes down the stairs, the midfielder calls out to him joyfully. “Lamine Yamal!” he shouts, causing Bissouma to burst out laughing.
Tolu also receives a warm welcome from the Malian. Bissouma greets him with a big smile and a hug, then the two men head together toward the Ajax locker room.
Meanwhile, the two Ajax players chat in French. Bissouma, 30, joined Ajax in mid-September after his contract with Tottenham Hotspur expired this summer.
The Malian made his debut as a substitute in an away game against FC Groningen, but since he signed his contract after the Conference League registration deadline, Bissouma may not take the field in European competition with Ajax unless the Amsterdam club qualifies for the next round.
