Raja Casablanca produced an impressive display of tactical discipline and clinical finishing to secure a 2-1 away victory over AS FAR Rabat in a fiercely contested Botola Pro encounter.
Despite being second best in terms of possession, Raja capitalised on their attacking opportunities to claim all three points, frustrating a FAR Rabat side that dominated large spells of the contest.
The visitors made a dream start, breaking the deadlock just two minutes into the match through Khafi, who finished off an assist from Ennaffati to give Raja an early advantage.
AS FAR responded by increasing the pressure and gradually took control of proceedings. Their dominance was reflected in an impressive 73 per cent possession and 13 corner kicks as they searched for an equaliser.
Their persistence paid off in the 27th minute when Youssef Al Fahli connected with a delivery from Anas Bach to restore parity and bring the home supporters back to life.
However, Raja demonstrated their efficiency once again, reclaiming the lead eight minutes later. Ennaffati, who had provided the assist for the opening goal, turned goalscorer in the 37th minute, combining with Khafi to put the visitors 2-1 ahead.
The three goals in the opening 37 minutes ensured an entertaining first half, with Raja taking their advantage into the break.
AS FAR continued to push for another equaliser after the restart, applying sustained pressure and attempting to break down Raja’s well-organised defensive structure.
However, the visitors remained resolute at the back, successfully absorbing the pressure and protecting their slender advantage until the final whistle.
The victory underlined Raja Casablanca’s attacking efficiency and defensive resilience, as they overcame a statistically dominant AS FAR side to secure a valuable three points on the road.
