
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has been contacted by the Tunisia Football Federation (TFF) to replace Côte d’Ivoire’s U20 squad in Group A.
Due to their team’s initial lack of qualification, Côte d’Ivoire was obliged to withdraw from hosting the tournament on Wednesday, and their squad was eliminated from the competition.

In an effort to guarantee their place in the group, the TFF initiated talks with CAF on Friday in response to this move.
After Morocco and Egypt, Tunisia had placed third in the UNAF qualifiers.
In April 2025, the U20 AFCON will take place, and the semifinalists will advance to the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile.
