Mykhailo Mudryk’s doping case: What we know so far

Since testing positive for meldonium in late 2023, Mykhailo Mudryk’s career has been put on hold. Suspended since December and facing a potential four-year ban, the Chelsea winger has turned to top sports lawyers and individual training to stay ready, all while waiting for the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s decision.

The Ukrainian international insists on his innocence and remains hopeful, despite the long delay in releasing his B sample results. His legal team, Morgan Sports Law—known for defending Paul Pogba—is now handling the appeal.

Meanwhile, Mudryk continues to live like a professional athlete off the pitch. While he no longer trains with the Chelsea squad, he follows a strict personal fitness regime and maintains his focus.

Support has come from several corners, including former Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu and Ukraine teammate Georgiy Sudakov. However, the situation remains emotionally and professionally draining, with no clear resolution in sight.
