Manchester United Amorim Defends Goal Drought Hojlund

Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, said that Rasmus Hojlund’s recent form drop is not the young striker’s fault, asserting that the squad as a whole must take responsibility for their offensive issues.

The Dane, 22, has now only scored once for his team in 28 appearances in all competitions after more squandered opportunities in Sunday’s 1-0 home Premier League loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Many have questioned why the club spent Atalanta an estimated 72 million pounds ($96 million) for Hojlund two years ago, given his inability to score goals consistently during the season.

“I think if you look at the games, we have several players that missed big chances, not just Rasmus,” Amorim stated to the media.

However, as Rasmus is a striker, his goal is to score goals. However, it’s a team effort.
