“I don’t want to hear about it, my friend. What matters are the trophies,” he replied, brushing aside the individual rivalry with his former Real Madrid teammate.

Yet destiny has a sense of humor. On May 7, Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr will meet in what could be a decisive fixture—not only for the league title but also for bragging rights between the two superstars.
