Ballon d’Or 2026 : Ceremony officially moved to London

The Ballon d’Or 2026 ceremony will not take place in Paris this year. According to reports from France, the organizers have decided to move the prestigious event to London for the special occasion of the trophy’s 70th anniversary.

The ceremony will take place on Monday, October 26, and football’s biggest stars will gather in the English capital to discover the successor to Ousmane Dembélé, who currently holds the award.

The organizers reportedly chose London to honor Stanley Matthews, the first-ever winner of the Ballon d’Or in 1956. Until now, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris had regularly hosted the ceremony, but the anniversary edition will celebrate the history of the trophy in England.

The Ballon d’Or 2026 ceremony already promises to attract huge attention as football fans around the world eagerly wait to discover the next winner of the sport’s most prestigious individual award.
