The 2026 World Cup comes with major financial rewards, as FIFA has set aside €557.4 million in total prize money, while every qualified team receives €1.2 million to support tournament preparations.
At the end of the competition, the team that wins the trophy will receive approximately 42.5 million euros.
The runner-up will take home 28 million euros.
Depending on their ranking, here is what the other teams will receive:
- The third-place team receives €24.6 million.
- The fourth-place team receives €22.9 million.
- Teams finishing between fifth and eighth place will each receive €16.1 million.
- Teams ranked between 9th and 16th place will each receive €12.7 million.
