2026 FIFA World Cup: Nagelsmann Keen to Remain Germany Coach, Awaits DFB Decision

Germany head coach  has reaffirmed his desire to remain in charge of the national team, saying he is ready to continue if the  decides to retain him.

Speaking about his future, Nagelsmann made it clear that he remains committed to the role and is eager to lead Germany into the next phase of international competition.

“I’m available to stay if that’s what the DFB wants.

” If they don’t want me, they need to tell me. I want to continue,” the Germany coach said.

Nagelsmann added that he is prepared to begin planning for Germany’s upcoming campaigns, including the UEFA European Championship qualifiers and the UEFA Nations League, but stressed that clarity is needed from the federation.

“I’d be happy to prepare for the Euros and the Nations League. If they don’t want me to, they need to say it,” he added.

The 38-year-old tactician’s comments come amid uncertainty over his future following Germany’s campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

While speculation continues over whether the DFB will make a change in the dugout, Nagelsmann has publicly expressed his willingness to remain and continue rebuilding the national team.

The German Football Association has yet to announce a decision on Nagelsmann’s future, with fans and football observers awaiting an official statement from the federation.
