Salim Adams Completes Al Hilal Move After Dramatic Turnaround

Salim Adams has completed a four-year move to Al Hilal, bringing to an end weeks of negotiations and handing head coach Guy Bukasa his top midfield target.

The deal marks a notable shift in direction for the Ghanaian midfielder, who only two seasons ago turned down an opportunity to join the same club, insisting at the time that he was not ready to play in that league. Then a player for Accra Hearts of Oak, Adams opted to remain in Ghana before later running down his contract and leaving as a free agent.

He subsequently joined Medeama SC, where he spent a single season and played a key role in the club’s domestic success, further enhancing his reputation as one of the Ghana Premier League’s standout midfielders.

Al Hilal’s renewed pursuit, led by Bukasa, proved decisive this time around. The coach had identified Adams early as a priority signing, and the club moved swiftly to secure his services following his impressive campaign with Medeama.

Adams now embarks on a new chapter abroad, with expectations high that his energy, composure, and ability to dictate play from midfield will strengthen Al Hilal’s ambitions both domestically and in continental competitions.
