Ghanaian midfielder Elisha Owusu has completed his move to Turkish side Erzurumspor after ending his three-year spell with French club AJ Auxerre.
The 28-year-old defensive midfielder joins the Turkish club, popularly known as the “Blue Army,” in a deal reportedly worth €1 million.
Erzurumspor confirmed the signing on social media, highlighting Owusu’s ball-winning ability, fighting spirit and defensive contributions as qualities that will strengthen their midfield ahead of the new season.
“Erzurumspor has added Ghanaian defensive midfielder Elisha Owusu to its roster for a transfer fee of €1 million,” the club announced.
Owusu joined Auxerre in January 2023 and made a notable contribution during his time in Burgundy. His departure brings an end to his spell with the French club as he takes on a new challenge in Turkey.
Auxerre also confirmed the transfer, describing Erzurumspor as a newly promoted Turkish side and wishing Owusu well in his next chapter.
The Ghana international will now look to establish himself in Turkey and play a key role for Erzurumspor as they prepare for their return to the Turkish top flight.
