Genoa CFC has officially announced the signing of Ivorian attacking midfielder Hamed Junior Traore from Olympique de Marseille.
The player is joining the Italian club on loan with an option to buy.
At 26 years old, Traore is returning to Serie A, a league he knows inside and out. Since his debut in Italy, he has played 149 games in the top flight, scoring 18 goals and recording 13 assists.
During his time in Ligue 1, he scored 12 goals and recorded 3 assists in 39 appearances, and he has also made 11 appearances in the Premier League.
An Ivorian international, the attacking midfielder has earned 11 caps with the Elephants, scoring two goals.
After passing the customary medical exam, Hamed Junior Traore signed a contract with Genoa that runs through the end of the season.
He will join the team at their training camp in Val di Fassa, where he will take part in his first training sessions with his new club.
