Tusker FC have confirmed that midfielder Fabian Adikiny and forward Ian Simiyu have signed two-year contract extensions, keeping them at Ruaraka until at least 2028.
The duo played pivotal roles during the 2025/26 campaign, helping the Brewers lift the FKF MozzartBet Cup, the club’s first major trophy in a decade, and secure qualification for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Adikiny was one of the team’s standout performers throughout the season, providing consistency and stability in midfield. The 24-year-old featured in every FKF MozzartBet Cup match, playing a crucial role in the club’s triumphant run to the title.
In all competitions, Adikiny made 37 appearances from a possible 40, accumulating 2,725 minutes in his second season with the Brewers. His relentless work rate was reflected in the numbers, averaging the second-highest distance covered in the squad at 292.9 kilometres over the course of the campaign, underlining his reputation as one of the team’s midfield engines.
Simiyu, meanwhile, enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in his first full season with Tusker. Having joined midway through the 2024/25 season from Nzoia Sugar, where he was the National Super League’s top scorer, the forward needed time to adapt to his new surroundings before flourishing this past season.
While he found the net five times in the FKF Premier League, it was his performances in the FKF MozzartBet Cup that proved decisive.
Simiyu scored the winning goal in the Round of 16 victory over Kariobangi Sharks before coming off the bench to provide the assist for Ibrahim Joshua’s dramatic 92nd-minute winner in the quarter-final against Ulinzi Stars.
He saved his best for last, producing a match-winning display in the final by scoring both goals in Tusker’s 2-1 victory over Kenya Police FC to hand the Brewers the trophy and seal qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.
